LOS ANGELES, Calif., December 14, 2019 -- Today, the House of Savoy honors Victor Cho, CEO of Evite, as an honorary knight. The honor recognizes Cho’s social good and philanthropic work with Evite Donations™, his love of Italy, and the impact he has made as a leader in the tech world, with roles across  Intuit, Kodak, Microsoft and now, Evite.

In accepting the honor as a knight, Cho has pledged to support the charitable work of The American Foundation of Savoy Orders whose principal mission is Chivalry for Children’s Causes.

“I am honored to join the House of Savoy among many others who have done prestigious work within the philanthropic space,” said Cho. “At Evite, we are passionate about bringing people together and tirelessly seek opportunities to deepen human connections. Evite Donations is a reflection of the dedication of everyone at Evite; raising over $15 million for causes in need is an incredible milestone and I look forward to supporting millions more.”

There are natural synergies between Evite and the Savoy Foundation, including their similar missions supporting children’s causes. To-date, kids’ birthday events have driven the highest amount of contributions from Evite Donations (over $2.8 million raised), a tool that allows guests to donate to a non-profit of choice directly via an Evite invitation. In keeping with the Savoy Orders’ centuries-old chivalric tradition of aiding the poor, the sick and the weak, the Savoy Foundation’s principal charitable mission - Chivalry for Children's Causes - has supported organizations providing integral humanitarian aid and intervention services for disadvantaged and endangered children and youth.

The primary charitable beneficiary for the Savoy Foundation’s December 12 - 15 events in New York City, during which Cho will receive the honorary knighthood, is the New York Foundling’s Summer Camp for Foster Care Children, Camp Felix. To support the work of the Foundling’s summer camp, throughout the month of December, Evite users in the state of New York will be able to raise money for Camp Felix through the Evite Donations tools. This year, the New York Foundling celebrates its 150th anniversary of ministering to foster care children.

Cho will be formally inducted on December 14, 2019 in New York City, by the son of the Grand Master, His Royal Highness Prince Emmanuel Philibert of  Savoy, the Prince of Venice and the Prince of Piedmont, during a ceremony and mass for the knights and dames.

About The Savoy Orders

The Savoy Orders are ancient orders of knighthood and merit, dating to the Crusades, the Middle Ages and the 19th Century.
